Not at all! Our Trackman simulators are designed for every skill level, from total beginners to competitive golfers. The technology adjusts to your swing, and our staff are happy to help you get started.

Most guests book 1 to 2 hours per bay. A standard round of 9 holes takes roughly 45-60 minutes depending on the number of players, so a 2-hour session comfortably fits 18 holes or a fun practice session.

No - we provide complimentary golf clubs for all guests. You're also welcome to bring your own if you prefer to play with familiar equipment.

Each bay comfortably accommodates up to 6 players, making it great for groups, date nights, and team outings. For larger events, we can book multiple bays or offer a full facility buyout.

Absolutely! You can order our full gastropub menu and bar selections directly from your bay. We bring the food and drinks right to you so you never have to pause your round.

Reservations can be made online at back9social.com through our booking partner, YourGolfBooking.com. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability, but we recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends.

We are open Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed Monday and Tuesday.

We use Trackman - the same launch monitor technology used by PGA Tour professionals and elite golf academies worldwide. It provides precise ball flight data and supports over 120 world-class courses.

We are located at 805 N Colony Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492. We have ample parking on site.

At Back 9 Social we use Trackman 4 launch monitors and simulation. TrackMan 4 is unlike any other golf launch monitor. It uniquely combines incredible radar capability with high-end optics for data you can trust. It’s a patented complete solution. The TrackMan 4 tracks and displays the full trajectory of any shot, from short putts to 400-yard drives, pinpointing the landing position with superior accuracy. It also maps the shot’s 3D trajectory in real-time, together with all impact and launch information. Trackman is constantly improving their tech and adding new courses to make a better and better experience.

We sure are. We do close for a few of them though: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July. But we try not to let the holidays get in the way of golf.

Prices depend on the day and the bay, so please refer to our reservation page for the most up to date information and specific details on the price of game play. Keep in mind, our pricing is by the bay per hour, not per person. That makes all the difference.

Up to 8 players can be in a bay and play. For safety reasons, only one person can be hitting at any one time. We welcome and encourage larger groups and private parties and allow for double (or more!) bay bookings.

It typically takes about one hour per person to play a round of 18 holes. So if you’re flying solo you should be able to get through a round in an hour. For a group of four, four hours should get it done. Eating, drinking, and socializing can definitely slow things down depending on how you party.

Anyone under 16 must be supervised by a Guest 21+ at all times. Anyone under 18 must be supervised by a Guest 21+ after 9:00pm.

At Back 9 Social, everyone’s safety and well-being is of the utmost importantance. We are committed to providing an excellent experience in a welcoming and inclusive environment so we can have fun together. So for all persons and parties involved, please follow our code of conduct: We are committed to providing a positive experience for all our Guests and we do not tolerate any acts of racism, violence or discrimination. Obey all verbal and posted rules and instructions. Use common sense to protect yourself and others. All players must hit from the hitting mat at all times. No running starts (unless you are trained professional like Adam Sandler). Only the person hitting a ball should stand in front of the trackman simulator box. All other players should stand behind the trackman simulator box at all times. Players are responsible for the safety of others around them and should always check their surroundings before swinging a club. Aim for the center of the screen at all times – how else are you going to hot the ball straight? Hitting golf balls anywhere other than at the screen is prohibited, and all players are responsible for damages or injuries caused by any balls hit outside of the bay Throwing golf balls is prohibited. Any Guest under 16, or under 18 after 9pm, must always be supervised by a Guest over 21. Players not swinging the club must stay behind the Trackman box. Please take extra care to make sure no one is directly behind or to the sides of you before swinging Back 9 Social is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We appreciate you being courteous and respectful to all Guests & Associates while enjoying your time with us at Back 9 Social.

Back 9 Social is a pet-free venue – this includes pets, therapy and emotional support or comfort animals. The only exception is for service animals aiding a Guest with a disability.

We do! You can reserve a bay or book multiple bays ahead of time for any point in the future. Options available vary based on the day, time, and bay, so click on our reservations tab to start planning, check availability and view pricing. Feel like a spur of the moment visit? Walk-in Guests are always welcome, so come on in! If we don’t have a bay immediately available we have a spacious bar as well as tables and lounge areas for you to wait or eat and drink.

Not at all! We always welcome walk-in Guests though we do highly recommend that you make a reservation to reserve a spot.
