We live in a world where the effort of "trying" is berated as if it allows a person "an out" and therefore gives them an excuse not to succeed. I counter that with the belief that trying is everything. Trying is purposeful effort that operates in the reality of our truth in the moment we find ourselves. It allows for the unpredictability of life and the beauty of individuality. It does not chastise falling short of a goal, but applauds the continuous bravery of approaching each day with hope and a plan of action. Trying represents forward motion with optimism flavored with desire. And a challenging journey can also be kind and respectful, even if we falter or encounter unexpected difficulty. Be who you are.
